Various press reports are stating that Michel Salgado wants his Real Madrid pal David Beckham to join him at Blackburn in January.

Beckham, 34, needs a loan move to Europe to boost his chances of being included in England’s squad for the World Cup.

Salgado said: “I’ll speak with him about it. The problem might be that we have to collect money from players to pay his wages.”
Though it’s unlikely to transpire due to the tight wage structure and lack of finances at Blackburn at the moment, never say never.
