Di Santo, on loan from Chelsea, had the best chance of the game but his point-blank header was well saved by the keeper.

It was a game Sam Alardyce's men dominated but they couldn't make that breakthrough.
Allardyce confirmed the club were waiting for a work permit for Croatian starlet Nikola Kalinic - with a hearing expected early next week. He said: "The only thing that was missing was the finishing touch in front of goal, everything else is moving along quite nicely. "Plenty of chances created but unfortunately none taken."
