Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce rued more lost points, as his side drew at home to West Ham.

“It should’ve been more with the opportunities that we had today. We’ve been a little shy in front of goal all season really, in terms of chances created and not converted.”

Despite the negatives of just one point from a possible nine, Allardyce refused to be downbeat and insisted that his side luck will change.

“When things are going for you, when the bounce of the ball goes for you and things go in your favour, those sort of chances go in but at the moment there not.”

“Today we got the defensive side really good, never giving West Ham a sniff.”

Despite the missed chances from his side however, Allardyce was convinced his side should’ve had penalty and he went on to say.

“We still think we had a big shout for a pen. Dunn has his standing leg taken from him by Scott Parker, there’s no doubt about that.”

In spite of this the Rovers manager though insisted that the big positive from the game, was the debut of Pascal Chimbonda and the emerging talent of Junior Hoilett.

On Chimbonda he stated: “Negotiations were very quick and easy which is unusually today, and I though that showed the commitment of player…I thought it was a very good debut”

“We have a very exciting young lad in junior, who appeared today as a subtitute, there’s a bright future coming for him.”
