Nikola Kalinic and Michel Salgado both turned in impressive performances as Blackburn beat Burnley 4-1 in a behind-closed-doors game.
Croatian striker Kalinic scored one of the goals in the rout in a welcome 75-minute run-out for him against Rovers’ local rivals.
He has made a slow start to life in the Premier League following his £6million summer switch from Hajduk Split, but appears to have now put his injury worries behind him and will be looking to continue the form he showed in the friendly when Rovers take on Wolves on September 12.
Former Real Madrid defender Salgado played the whole 90 minutes and looked a class act at the back while Brett Emerton played the majority of the match as he continues his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.
