Earlier in the year Blue Star Line Chairman Professor Clive Palmer announced the impressive project of replicating the famous Titanic cruise ship in all of its original grandeur. Today, May 28, Professor Palmer has announced that Blue Star Line has appointed Sweden’s Tillberg Design as the interior architects and designers for the Titanic II moving the exciting project forward.
Blue Star Line Chairman Professor Clive Palmer’s mission is to bring back to life the beautiful ship.
In honor of Titanic’s 100 year anniversary Professor Palmer’s vision is to replicate the ship with all of the original luxuries. The Titanic II is being built as if a full scale working model of the first Titanic. Finland’s Deltamarin is the designer for the new ship and CSC Jinling Shipyard of China is building the Titanic II. The dream interiors are now set to be designed by Tillberg Design.
Titanic II will be dressed in the finest of the original plus paired with modern conveniences and technology.
Beyond the grand beauty of the Titanic that the Titanic II will be designed to reproduce, it will also have the comforts of this century with air conditioning and the most up-to-date safety systems. The design mission is to build a replica of the Titanic to recreate the grand experience of the original period.
Tillberg Design is to design all of the staterooms for the first, second and third class accommodations as well as the smoking room, first class lounge, Café Parisian and the grand staircase. They are also designing for the incorporation of the newest of safety necessities for the safety deck. Also to be included on the Titanic II will be a theatre, casino and the best of safety with the necessary amount of, and top-of-the-line, lifeboats.
The Titanic II is set to be completed in 2016.
The beautiful ship is aiming for completion in 2016 with thousands of people already registering to get tickets in order to take part in the maiden six day voyage set to leave England and follow the same route as the Titanic. Just as with the original Titanic, passengers will have a choice of purchasing tickets for the three different classes of staterooms as well as the option of dressing up in 1912 costume in order to achieve the ultimate experience.
